Adopt a Sonata
Beethoven’s piano sonatas form one of the most important collections of works in the whole history of music. Spanning several decades of his life as a composer, the sonatas soon came to be seen as the first body of substantial serious works for piano suited to performance in large concert halls seating hundreds of people.
To realize this project financially we created the possibility to adopt a Sonata. The costs of the recording and editing of one Sonata are €1.000,- If you decide to adopt a Sonata, we can offer you one of the following options:
a. A piano recital by Misha (normally worth €2.500,-) on a date and at a location of your choice (the presence of a well-tuned and playable grand piano is desirable).
Possible rental and tuning costs are the responsibility of the host/hostess, but we offer the possibility to arrange an instrument for you.
b. A private concert at “Huize Gaudeamus”, a historic location (rental of Huize Gaudeamus includes a grand piano).
In addition, your name will be mentioned on both the physical CD and the website www.Beethoven32.info
